A summer fairytale at the Hochkönig
The curtain falls, the last rays of summer sunshine bathe the Hochkönig massif in a warm, golden light. A look back at the past months allows us to immerse ourselves in a world characterized by charm, uniqueness and emotional moments. Summer 2023 at the Hotel am Hochkönig was not just a stay - it was a journey through the realm of the senses, a feast for the soul.
In the midst of the majestic mountains of Maria Alm in Salzburger Land, families, couples and singles experienced a vacation that promised not only luxury but also warmth. The sun was shining from a bright blue sky, as if the gods of summer themselves had poured out their blessings on the Hochkönig region. The weather was so beautiful that it made even the mountain peaks smile.
For hiking enthusiasts and mountain bikers, the Hochkönig became an adventure playground. Every step and every tread were a connection with nature, a declaration of love to the breathtaking landscape. The mountains told stories and the trails led to the most hidden corners of the heart of the Alps.
Here, wellness was not just seen as an offer, but as a real journey to inner peace. The soothing touches in our spa area created an atmosphere in which the stress of everyday life literally fell away from the mountain peaks. Here, in this refuge of peace, not only muscles were relaxed, but also the mind was caressed. Massages and treatments became rituals that pampered not only the body but also the soul. The saunas and steam baths opened the doors to a world of regeneration where time seemed to stand still.
The summer evenings on the #meerblick terrace became magical moments when live music filled the air and the stars seemed to dance above the Hochkönig. Summer parties, where the Japanese Suntory Whisky & Roku Gin provided a touch of the exotic, gave the nights a special touch. In addition, there was live music from various bands throughout the summer, not forgetting the Wildererball in October with the legendary Renate Maier.
We are grateful to our loyal regular guests, who are like family and return year after year to share our happiness in the mountains with us. But we are just as happy about the many new faces that have enlivened our hotel the HOCHKÖNIGIN.
Every guest has contributed to making the 4-star superior hotel in Salzburger Land not just a place, but a temporary home.
The Hochkönig Card was the key to unforgettable moments - free cable car rides, panoramic views that took your breath away and activities that got the adrenaline pumping. The Hotel am Hochkönig became not just a place to stay, but the starting point for adventure, the base for an active vacation in Austria.
This summer, not only mountains have shifted, but also hearts. New friendships have blossomed and shared experiences have turned us into one big, happy family circle.
The culinary highlights, from regional delicacies to international culinary delights, have enchanted the senses and sent the palate on a journey.
And so we look back with a smile and a tear in our eye. Laughing, because every moment was unforgettable, crying, because the summer of 2023 on the Hochkönig will now be part of our memories. But the outlook is positive, because the mountains are patiently waiting for the next season and we are looking forward to writing new stories, welcoming new faces and experiencing the magic of the Hochkönig once again.
May the next summer come, may it be just as charming, unique and emotional as the one we are just saying goodbye to. Because there is not just one summit on the Hochkönig - there are many, and each one is a highlight in its own right.
