September and October are among the best months for a hiking holiday in Maria Alm. Temperatures are pleasantly mild, the trails become quieter and, after cool nights, the views across the Hochkönig mountains are often exceptionally clear. From leisurely walks to scenic mountain hikes, there are plenty of ways to explore autumn on foot.
Several hiking trails start close to die HOCHKÖNIGIN. One of the easiest options leads towards Natrun and Prinzensee – either on foot from the hotel or, while operating, with the Natrun cable car. Those looking for more elevation and panoramic views will find numerous additional hiking routes throughout the Hochkönig region.
