Arrival by car
Variant 1 without Austrian motorway toll sticker: On the German A9 motorway, drive from Munich in the direction of Salzburg to the exit Inzell, then go via Lofer and Saalfelden to Maria Alm. The Magic Mountain Resort – the HOCHKÖNIGIN is located 50 m after entering Maria Alm on the left side.
Variant 2 also without Austrian motorway toll sticker: Take the German A9 motorway from Munich in the direction of Salzburg until you reach the Inntal motorway junction. Continue in the direction of Kufstein, take the Oberaudorf exit, then go via Walchsee and Kössen to St. Johann in Tirol. From there you continue via Lofer and Saalfelden to Maria Alm. The Magic Mountain Resort – the HOCHKÖNIGIN is located 50 m after entering Maria Alm on the left side.
Please note that there is a toll obligation on Austrian motorways (from Kufstein). You can obtain the required sticker at border crossings and tobacconists as well as online at www.asfinag.at/maut-vignette/vignette/.
On the A1 motorway from Vienna, travel via Linz to Salzburg. Change to the A10 towards Bischofshofen. Exit Bischofshofen, continue in the direction of St. Johann and Zell am See. Continue to Saalfelden, in the village, turn left to Maria Alm. Alternatively, take the Bischofshofen exit via Mühlbach am Hochkönig and Dientner Sattel towards Dienten. Then continue over the Filzensattel to Hinterthal and Maria Alm.
Take the A9 motorway to exit 69/Selzthal. Continue on the B320 Ennstal-Bundesstraße towards Schladming/Liezen/Radstadt. At the roundabout take the third exit B320/Gesäusestraße towards Salzburg/Schladming. Continue on the B99/E651 Katschberg federal road. Take the A10 motorway via the Salzburg/Eben slip road. Continue on the A10 until the exit Knoten Pongau, continue on the B311 Pinzgauer Bundesstraße towards St. Johann im Pongau/Zell am See. Exit direction B159/B164 Hochkönig Bundesstraße, continue to Maria Alm. Alternatively, take the Bischofshofen exit via Mühlbach am Hochkönig and Dientner Sattel towards Dienten. Then continue over the Filzensattel to Hinterthal and Maria Alm.
Arrival by train
The nearest train station is Saalfelden, and for ICE and express trains Zell am See. You can continue your journey to Maria Alm by bus or taxi.
