Snowshoeing & Winter Hiking

You are completely free when on the go with snowshoes. Even in high snow you can hike cross-country regardless of the terrain. Hiking is fun, quickly learned and can take us to where we are happiest. The resort's own outdoor guide can also support you with great advice. You can also experience the snowshoe hike as part of the HOCHKÖNIGIN activity and leisure programme. Look forward to enchanting moments.

Children’s Ski Course

Learning to ski is child's play in the excellent ski schools in Maria Alm, and, on top of that, it's a lot of fun. The ski schools offer, among other things:

A practice meadow with a fairytale park
The most up-to-date teaching methods
The Wonder Carpet, Carousel, and Rope Carpet
Lunchtime supervision with children's menu
A ski race as a highlight with children's après-ski and award ceremony (each child receives a medal and a certificate)

You don't have to be in full training to dare to go cross-country skiing. Even for beginners, cross-country skiing at the Hochkönig offers enough opportunities to get a taste of this healthy sport. Sporty cross-country skiers will of course enjoy the challenge and perhaps even overcome their own limits while skating along the valley in skating or classic style. Enrich your winter holiday according to your skill level, desire and mood in one of the most beautiful cross-country skiing regions of Austria.

One of the highlights is the 7 km long panorama trail at Dientner Sattel between Dienten and Mühlbach. The nighttime cross-country trail on the Gasteg cross-country trail in Maria Alm is also popular, promising cross-country skiing under floodlights and starry skies.
